Barcelona street named after Kiwi mountaineer

The so-called Camí del Cel (Sky walk) is an access to the top of Tibidabo. Barcelona city council has decided to name one of its parts after the names of the New Zealander sir Edmund Hillary and the Nepalese Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. They became the first climbers confirmed as having reached the summit of Mount Everest in 1953.

The Tibidabo mountain is the highest place in Barcelona (508 metres), the best location to have a street named after Hillary and Tenzing Norgay.
