Aussies & Kiwis are familiar with flat whites, you don't need any explanation...
A flat white is a coffee beverage. It's prepared by pouring microfoam (steamed milk from the bottom of a pitcher) over a single or double shot of espresso. It's similar to the latte or cafè amb llet. The beverage is typically served in a small 150-160 millilitre, ceramic cup.
Microfoam is used, resulting in a smooth and velvety texture. A flat white may incorporate "latte art" as you can see in the picture.
Lauren (one of our membres) says there are some places in Barcelona where they know how to serve a flat white: Federal Café and Cornelia & Co. If you know more places, let us know, please.
In case you want to try by yourselft, here you have a tutorial...
Enjoy!
