Aussie blogger Annabel Candy's Catalan Experience

Catalunya Experience is a programme produced by TV3, a Catalan public TV Station. They show every week the opinion of a guest after visiting some places in Catalonia.

Last week the Catalan host was an actress called Ivana Miño and the guest was Annabel Candy, a blogger from Australia. Her blog is called GetInTheSpot and there she writes about "travel, wellbeing and midlife adventure"

Here you can watch Annabel's experience visiting some impresive spots like Montserrat, Núria, la Pedrera in Barcelona or Carnival in Vilanova.

Sessió sobre estudi i treball a Austràlia.

Austràlia és una economia angloparlant que ofereix oportunitats en molts sectors laborals. Un dels avantatges d'estudiar a Austràlia és la possibilitat d'obtenir una feina a temps parcial.

Aquesta sessió serà presentada per Sergio Romagosa, David Mas i Joan Parra. Sergio és el propietari i director de TrekYourWay.com, una agència amb anys d'experiència enviant estudiants a Austràlia. David treballa per a SCEI una escola de Melbourne que ofereix diferents cursos (anglès, curs relacionats amb el sector de la sanitat, cursos sobre gestió de projectes i altres àrees profesionals), David també explicarà la seva experiència com a català treballant a Austràlia. Joan és membre d'AuNZ.Cat (The Australian New Zealander Catalan Society), un grup que reuneix australians i neozelandesos que viuen a Catalunya.

Session about study and work in Australia.

Australia is and advanced English-speaking economy with opportunities in lots of economic sectors. One of the advantadges of studying is Australia is the possibility of getting a part-time job.

This session will be held by Sergio Romagona, David Mas and Joan Parra. Sergio is the owner and director of TrekYourWay.com, an agency with years of experience in sending students to Australia. David works for SCEI, an Australian school which offers different courses (English, Health Care related courses, Project Management, etc), David will also explain his experience as a Catalan working in Australia. Joan is a membre of AuNZ.Cat (The Australian New Zealander Catalan Society), a group which gather Australians living in Catalonia.

Discover the most reputable cities in the world

CityRepTrak is a global survey of more than 22,000 consumers, collected in the G8 countries, which ranks the world's 100 most reputable cities based on levels of trust, esteem, admiration and respect.

Perceptions regarding 13 attributes are grouped into three dimensions: Advanced Economy, Effective Government and Appealing Environment. First and second ranked cities are Sydney and Melbourne, the sixth is Barcelona (after Stockholm, Vienna and Vancouver).  Do you agree???

Barcelona: AFL Grand Final 2015 Live (October 3)


Belushi's Barcelona is one of the venues where you can watch the 2015 AFL Grand Final Live.

They will host again the biggest Aussie Rules Grand Final event. They will show the action live on their big screens with English commentary.

Throughout the morning the bar will be open and they will have the live Aussie Rules action on the big screen with loads of Hot Meat Pies on the go, Aussie beers and breakfast specials.

Brisbane Concert Choir in Barcelona (24th September)



Brisbane Concert Choir at St Andrew's is an auditioned adult mixed-voice community choir of between 50 and 60 members, from 18 to 70 years of age, drawn from all walks of life, based in the heart of Brisbane, Australia. Formed in 1996 by Dr Guy Jansen, it was directed by Christopher Kiver up until July 2002, and thereafter Graeme Morton, until the end of 2003. Debra Shearer-Dirié was appointed to the position in May 2005.

The Choir greatly appreciates the ongoing support of St Andrew's Uniting Church, Ann St, Brisbane, its Minister and congregation which provides the Choir with a beautiful heritage building for rehearsal and performing space. It also acknowledges Gary Fredericks for the design of the choir logo used at the top of each page of this website.
