Aussie Band Sleepmakeswaves in BCN

You can enjoy the Aussie band Sleepmakeswaves at AMFest the experimental/post-rock festival held at Apolo.

Sleepmakeswaves is the most important and worldwide known Australian post-rock band. They will be touring in Europe to present their new album "Made of Breath Only". They'll be at La[2] de Apolo on Thursday 26th.

Catalan Puppet Company visits The Adelaide Fringe Festival

The Adelaide Fringe Festival was created in 1960 by a group of independent artists. Nowadays it is a thriving platform for artists to try out new work, experiment and engage. Today, Adelaide Fringe takes over the entire city with more than 1100 events staged in established venues such as theatres, hotels, art galleries, cafes and town halls as well as in pop up venues in parks, warehouses, lane-ways and empty buildings.

The Catalan puppet company  Marionetes Nòmades will be in the Adelaide Fringe. The show they are performing is called The Pirate's Tresure.

In this video you can see the process of creating the puppets of the show.

Aussie blogger Annabel Candy's Catalan Experience

Catalunya Experience is a programme produced by TV3, a Catalan public TV Station. They show every week the opinion of a guest after visiting some places in Catalonia.

Last week the Catalan host was an actress called Ivana Miño and the guest was Annabel Candy, a blogger from Australia. Her blog is called GetInTheSpot and there she writes about "travel, wellbeing and midlife adventure"

Here you can watch Annabel's experience visiting some impresive spots like Montserrat, Núria, la Pedrera in Barcelona or Carnival in Vilanova.

The Great Barrier Reef seen by a Turtle...

WWF is working on a innovative project in Queensland. They are studying the levels of pollution the reptiles are receiving. As a part of the project they have placed a GoPro camera on a turtle in order to get more information about the animal's behaviour after being freed.

Australia in Eurovision 2014

The Eurovision contest has a pretty good audience in Australia and for the first time ever, Australia was represented in a Eurovision Song Contest show, not as one of the competing countries but is has the opportunity of being represented in an interval act by Jessica Mauboy, a popular singer from down under.

This video shows the "process" for being accepted in this European contest and the song performed by Jessica Mauboy.

Primavera Sound, then Vivid Sydney

Aussie boy Damian Clark has had comedy goers in hysterics from the moment he hit the European comedy circuit in 2005. His award winning, high-octane observational comedy has garnered worldwide critical acclaim.

Before touching down in the UK, Damian made Ireland his home and became regular features in Irish national TV smash hit comedy program called 'I dare ya', in which he co wrote with Andrew Stanley which became the highest rating Irish comedy debut to date.

Clark's 2011 Edinburgh Fringe show 'Stand UP' was met with a sold out run and in the same year his youtube clips hit over a million viewers.

In 2012 Damian was hand picked to support Kevin Bridges and Jack Dee on their national UK tours, playing theaters and arenas to over one hundred, thousand people.
